Flower Pins

I love flower pins.

They add a sweet little touch of playfulness to what they accompany.
They’re great.

I learned how to make them from TidyMom

What you need:
– piece of fabric or felt
– thread & needle
– scissors
– 20 minutes

draw circles 6 circles on felt (8 if thinner fabric)

fold first circle in half, then half again
weave a few stitches through the point/center of the circle

keep folding and stitching the circles together until all are threaded together.

after all circles are attached do 2 big loops through all circles at once.
this part is a little difficult. my fingers were mad at me after. but I won.

then stitch on a little scrap square to the back that you can fasten a safety pin to so you can pin your flower to whatever!

ta-da! flower pin.

For the pin out of a thinner fabric I used 8 circles, instead of 6, just to make it a little fuller. Everything else was the same as the felt pin. Once you’re finished go ahead and pin it to something lovely.

like, your favorite bag…

or a spring time jacket…

or a sun hat
or an apron
or a pillow
or a headband
or whatever you want!

probably not a kid’s forehead. that wouldn’t be very nice.

So before you head out on a hot date tonight, take 20 minutes to make a cute little accessory to add to your outfit!
Happy Friday!

These are so cute! Do you think someone who doesn’t have a clue how to sew make them? Not that I know anyone like that. And I laughed out loud when I read your line about sticking it to a kids forehead. You’re funny. :)
