A New Kind of Easter

Easter was a new experience this year. For one, I am married and with my husband. Two, we didn’t spend Easter day with family. Three, we didn’t eat a normal Easter meal. Four, I got baptized.

It was wet. I don’t like being under water. It was worth it.

After church we came home and began chopping and cleaning for our Easter supper. We decided traditional sounded no where near as fun as fondue. So we made fondue. Lots and lots of fondue. Then invited over a couple friends that were still in town for Easter.

Our guests arrived at 4. We were eating before 5. I think we ate non-stop for an hour and a half.

This isn’t even all of it… The coffee table was too small to fit everything.

What we all dipped in:
– Cheese
– Chocolate
– Oil
– Sauces for the meat that were cooked in oil

What we all dipped:
– French Bread
– Summer Sausage
– Red Peppers
– Broccoli
– Giant Pretzels
– Chicken (made by our friend Jeff. So great.)
– Strawberries
– Bananas
– Marshmallows
– Rice Krispies
– Pork
– Beef

What we drank:
– Ginger Ale mixed with Pomegranate Blueberry Juice

That may be all… but it could very well not be too… After eating until we could no longer function we decided to head toward Down Town to wander and try work of a couple of the thousand calories we just consumed.

Overall, we had a lovely Easter.

Did you break any Easter traditions this year?

Happy Easter.

I’m sorry we were not there for the baptism, but I loved seeing your pictures. I’m very proud of you both. Your fondue meal looks fabulous! And what a beautiful couple you two are!
