A New Shredded Pork

I haven’t had time to cook this semester. Its heartbreaking. I miss my kitchen. However, this past week, I found a simple little crock pot recipe. It was an exciting new way to enjoy shredded pork. The exciting part? Brown sugar and Balsamic vinegar. Hello exciting meat.

Season it.

Crock pot it.

Eat it.

Brown Sugar & Balsamic Glazed Pork

2 lb. pork loin/chop (I used chops)
1 tsp sage
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 cup water

1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp soy sauce

-combine sage, salt, pepper, & garlic
-rub on pork
-put in crock pot with 1/2 cup water
-cook on low 6-8 hours

-with one hour until finished- combine ingredients for glaze in sauce pan, heat until thickens
-brush pork 2-3 times during last hour
-serve with remaining glaze on side
